about

For this track we returned to a traditional melody we previously used on our first album, from the Child ballad 'Willie O Winsbury'. It is a melody that has haunted me for a long time and which I never tire of. The spoken word introduction is from The Vision Of Piers Plowman by William Langland. It is read in the original Middle English by Robin Kirkpatrick and comes from the narrative of the forthcoming film 'What is this dust that has not been alive? Stirbitch: An Imaginary' as directed by Michael Hrebeniak.
